So it’s been ages since I made a blog entry, It’s been an amazingly busy year. Not just for weddings but for everything my family and I have been up to. I’ve shifted countries, my family and I have moved to Japan to start a new chapter in our lives. In order to accomplish this move took a lot of hard work and preparation, home renos and selling our house, selling our car, selling my motorcycle 🙁 selling pretty much everything we owned.
We did this for a few reasons;
One, my wife is Japanese and we thought it was important for our 2 daughters to spend a few years here to really understand that part of themselves and to ensure they would be fully bilingual.
Two, So I can also learn Japanese. I’m starting out severely handicapped compared to my daughters who already speak it 🙁
Three, For the fun and challenge of it.
While here we thought we would try our hand at another form of photography as well, similar to what I have always done but dissimilar in costume and location.
I’m still taking beautiful images of people in love, it’s just a different country, a different language and in different clothing 🙂
I AM however coming back to Cairns for July-August to work with couples who have already booked me AND I am still available to take bookings during that time.
Here are some images from my very first Wedding Kimono shoot here in Kobe, Japan.
